Our Host Families Talk…
Many of our families embraced sharing their feedback with us through the Customer Satisfaction survey since it was launched in spring of 2008, and their comments, positive or negative, have helped and will continue to help us shape the future of our program and enhance the experience of our participants. See our detailed survey results.
…We Listen!
In response to the feedback we have received, we have implemented many exciting program changes. We recently launched:
Showcase Sites
In an effort to provide our program participants with the information they are looking for as well as to offer more transparency, we have launched several showcase sites dedicated to specific areas of our program.
3 Ways to Match
In addition to our personalized, exclusive matching option as well as consultative matching appointments with our Placement Managers, Cultural Care Au Pair is now offering our families a third way to match! Our new “Search and Select” method is for parents who prefer to search through available au pair profiles online independently. Learn more about the exciting “Search and Select” feature.
Pay-as-you-go option
Whether you prefer to pay the program fee all at once or as-you-go, Cultural Care Au Pair can accommodate your family’s needs. Now families can choose to pay our $7,095 program fee using our Full Payment Plan or Extended Payment Plan.

Summer weekend classes (Baltimore and Chicago)
No Comment |Posted by: aferreira on May 7, 2010
Thinking about taking a Summer weekend class? One of my au pairs experienced the classes, and most of them will return for a second time. Here is her opnion:
“I can recommend the weekendclasses. The toefl in january was cool, but I havent learnt much, cause it was too much info in a too short time and we couldnt get into details.
The second weekend was also not much learning like it would be in a college. But you get many interesting tips for behaviour management, or stress management, for example. And you can choose the courses.
But really cool is, that you meet plenty people, and you stay in a hotel and don`t have to worry about food. Everybody would enjoy that. Then, there is a tv night, a pool and in the summer, you can chill on the grass outside in the sun.
And many au pairs are from Bethesda or DC area, so if an au pair comes new into the country, it would be a easy way, too, to meet people who live close but, are in another lcc group for example. Also it`s easy to travel there, they pick you up from airport or train station.”
Yes, I would go there as well. So, hurry up! There are only a few spots left. Here is the schedule:
Remaining Summer Courses
June 5-6, 2010 Experiencing America- Maryland (15 slots remaining)

Fun`raising celebrating Mother`s Day

Dear Host Families and Au Pairs,
It`s time for our annual meeting, and it`s almost Mother`s Day. Therefore, we will be having a fundraising event to celebrate such a special date.
Families, au pairs and friends are invited to come and paint a pottery piece at Color Me Mine, celebrating Mother`s Day.
50% of the profits will be donated to the Cultural Care philanthropic project, Kids First, which helps children at risk all over the world. Cllck on this link to learn more about Kids First: http://www.culturalcare.com/aboutus/kidsfirst/
The regular price per person is usually $10/adult and $7/child plus the price of the piece you paint. For the people participating in the fundraising event, it will cost $15/table with 4 people. That works out at a bargain $3.75/person plus the price of the piece you paint.
This meeting will count towards the Host Family Annual meeting requirement: remember, host families have to attend at least one meeting per year. This will also be our May Au Pair meeting.
Color Me Mine is walking distance to Silver Spring metro and they also have a parking lot building above the shop (free after 6pm). See this link for more details: http://www.silverspring.colormemine.com/
Please invite all your friends and come along to this wonderful celebration.
I hope to see you all there!
Adri
